Mobile Tickets are digital tickets that you can store in your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on your smartphone or smartwatch.
These tickets use contactless NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, which lets you enter the stadium by holding your phone or watch near the reader at the turnstile. We’ve used NFC tickets since 2021 at both the Etihad and Joie Stadiums, and our new turnstiles make this technology suitable for even more fans from the start of the 2025/26 Season.
How to check if your device is NFC compatible and if this is enabled on your device.
Apple
Most iPhones have NFC built in expect iPhone 5s and is always enabled. You cannot manually check if NFC is enabled or manually turn this on and off as iPhones do not have a manual toggle, there isn't a specific setting to turn NFC on or off.
To use mobile tickets at the Etihad on iPhone devices, the Apple Wallet app is required. iPhones need to be using iOS 12 or newer.

- Open your phone's settings and type "NFC" into the search bar;
- If NFC comes up, make sure it is toggled on.

To use mobile tickets at the Etihad on android devices, the Google Wallet app is required.

How do I use a mobile ticket?
You will need to have your Google/Apple wallet app open, with your mobile pass present which you will hold up to the reader at the turnstile. The reader will scan your ticket and allow entry.
