What is mobile ticketing?
Mobile ticketing means your match ticket is stored securely on your smartphone instead of a paper or plastic card. You simply download or receive your ticket digitally and scan it at the turnstile to enter the stadium.
What are the benefits of mobile ticketing?
Mobile ticketing brings many benefits for supporters, including:
- Convenience – No need to wait for the post, print at home, or collect from the ticket office.
- More secure – Your ticket is safely stored on your phone and is harder to lose or duplicate.
- Easier sharing – You can transfer a ticket digitally to a friend or family member in just a few taps.
- Environmentally friendly – Reduces paper waste and helps us be more sustainable as a Club.
- Instant updates – Any changes to your ticket (e.g. kick-off time or gate info) can be sent straight to your phone.
Is mobile ticketing safe?
Yes – it’s more secure than printed tickets. Mobile tickets use contactless NFC technology, which means that your ticket cannot be forged or copied and used fraudulently.
Can I still forward a ticket to someone else?
Yes – if you can’t attend, you can quickly and easily forward your ticket through your online account. The recipient will receive their ticket via email or can add it to their mobile wallet. Find out more about Ticket Transfer here, including how many times you can transfer tickets.
What if I have issues at the turnstile?
Our matchday stewards and Fan Support team are on hand at the stadium to help with any ticketing issues. We also recommend:
- Ensuring your phone is fully charged before you arrive.
- Downloading your ticket to your mobile wallet in advance (this means you don’t need internet or signal at the stadium).
- Opening your ticket before reaching the gate to avoid delays.
What if I don’t have a smartphone?
We understand not everyone has access to a smartphone, and that mobile ticketing might not be accessible for everyone. If this applies to you, please fill in this Ticketing Help Request Form so that we can work out the best solution for you. We’ll work with you to ensure you can still access the match.
