3DS2 (3D Secure 2.0) is an authentication solution designed to protect customers when they shop online using credit or debit cards. The purpose of 3DS2 is specifically to prevent a shopper’s credit or debit card from being used without their authorisation.
Unfortunately, you can not opt-out. Strong Customer Authentication is part of a new Europe-wide legislation (called the Payment Services Directive 2, or PSD2 for short) that determines how people make payments or service their accounts online. It also helps to keep your account safe from fraud.
