I need to verify my Cup Scheme card for 3DS2, how do I do it?

3DS2 (3D Secure 2.0) is an authentication solution designed to protect customers when they shop online using credit or debit cards. The purpose of 3DS2 is specifically to prevent a shopper’s credit or debit card from being used without their authorisation.

Unfortunately, you can not opt out. Strong Customer Authentication is a part of a new Europe-wide legislation (called the Payment Services Directive 2, or PSD2 for short) that determines how people make payments or service their accounts online. It also helps to keep your account safe from fraud. 

To verify your card details for future purchases, follow the guide below

First, go to mancity.com/tickets then click the silhouette icon in the top right corner of the page and select 'My Account'

Then click 'My Ticketing Account'

Select 'Cup Schemes' on the left hand side of the page

Tick ONE of the Cup Schemes that you are enrolled in and click 'Update Payment Card'

Then select the Cup Scheme that you are enrolled in and click 'ADD NEW CARD'. You will need to click each scheme individually, once you have added the card in the 'add new card' section, this will appear in the drop down menu and you can select the card for other schemes you are enrolled in. 

Re enter your card details, or update with a different card if you choose to do so

Click Save and you will then be able to authorise the payment, dependant on how you have this set up with your bank provider which will pass the 3DS2 check

Once you have authorised this, ensure that all of the Cup Schemes that you are enrolled into are ticked, then click 'OK'.
