Everything You Need to Know About Attending a Match at the Etihad Stadium

Arriving at the Stadium

• Turnstile Opening Times:

  • General admission: 2 hours before kick-off

  • Hospitality: 3 hours before kick-off

  • Women’s fixtures: 90 minutes before kick-off

  • Recommended arrival: At least 1 hour before kick-off

Getting There:

•  

  • The Etihad Campus Metrolink stop is located adjacent to the stadium and has ramp access and a lift.

  • The journey from Manchester Piccadilly takes less than 10 minutes.

  • Note: Holt Town and Velopark stops are closed for at least an hour post-event.

  • A safe walking route is available from the city centre.

Tickets and Entry

• Ensure your Mobile Match Ticket is downloaded to your smartphone wallet.

• Bring a charged phone and photo ID.

• Only contactless payments (card, Apple/Google Pay) are accepted throughout the stadium.

Bags and Belongings

• Permitted Bags: Small handheld bags no larger than A4 size (12”x8”x3”).

• Prohibited: Backpacks, rucksacks, and other large bags.

• Bag Storage:

  • Located in Orange Car Park (general) and Grey Car Park (away fans).

  • Opens 3 hours before kick-off.

  • Prices: £5 (Season Ticket members), £10 (match buyers/away fans).

• Special Considerations:

  • Parents/guardians with young children may bring small backpacks with essentials.

Helmets, Prams, and Other Items

• Bicycle helmets are allowed (must fit in a small bag or under your seat).

• Motorbike helmets are not allowed, but can be stored at Bag Storage for 50% off.

• Prams/pushchairs are not allowed on matchdays (but are permitted during stadium tours).

Prohibited Items

The following are not permitted inside the stadium:

• Drink glasses, narcotics, long umbrellas, selfie sticks, fireworks, flares

• Large flags/banners, weapons, sharp objects, bottles/cans, outside food/drinks

• Cigarettes/e-cigarettes, baby buggies, airhorns, tablets, cameras

• Oversized bags

Matchday Experience

• Blue Carpet Arrival: See the team arrive ~90 minutes before kick-off outside the Colin Bell Stand.

• Enjoy live music, performers, giveaways, and player interviews.

• Family Stand (North Stand Level 1, blocks 134-139): Features mascots, games, colouring wall, and more.

Food & Beverage

• A wide selection available inside and outside the stadium, including halal and vegan options.

• Outside food and drinks cannot be brought inside.

• All payments are cashless.

Children & Seating

• Children under 14 must sit with an accompanying adult and cannot sit in a separate area.

Reporting Incidents

• To report anti-social or discriminatory behaviour, text 0770 015 1894 with your block, row, and seat plus a description.

• You can also speak directly to a steward or police officer.

Facilities

• Prayer Room:
  A Multi-Faith Prayer Room is available for supporters and is located in the Colin Bell Stand, next to the Tunnel Club.
  If you’d like to use this space on a matchday and need help finding it, ask a steward, who will be happy to guide you.
